A Workshop on  Microsoft Azure Cloud Computing And Understanding IoT (Internet of Things) was conducted on 18th June 2016 at Block 3 auditorium CUFE, as part of CSI Student Branch Chapter. The speaker Mr K.K.Rathi from Microsoft has conducted session which saw 150 participants from 3rd sem (CSE/IT) and CSI Student branch.

The session was started by Dr. K Balachandran, Head of Department of Computer Science by introducing Speaker and the topics which were going to be discussed by the speaker.
The session was continued by the speaker by covering following topics

• Introduction to cloud computing , Internet of Things and Microsoft Azure cloud computing platform.
• Creation of Microsoft outlook account which was necessary as a part of Microsoft Azure account creation.
• Hands on Practice - Microsoft Azure >> Creating Webapp and hosting them on cloud.
• Exposure to the Microsoft Virtual Academy, MVA is a free online school with courses.
• How to get register and enroll for MVA course.
• Getting Microsoft e Certificate – for students who complete the course according to process.

The overall session delivered by the speaker was a learning, interactive and hands on session for the students where all the queries put up by them were answered to their full satisfaction; indeed it witnessed an enthusiastic response and participation from the crowd.

The session came to an end with a valedictory speech by Dr.Balachadran Head of Computer Science and Engineering Department. The speaker expressed happiness of conducting the workshop during the day.
